one is a pro kit and the other a coilover with height adjustability, you are not comparing apples to apples....it all comes down to what are you looking for in your car.

i just bit the bullett and got the b14 i jus want a good setup for street use and a track day here and there, on right hand drive the drivers side sits a bit lower as the battery is on the same side so with these i can adjust it to sit even with the off side

I just installed my B12 kit a few days ago, and I've put about 150 miles on it since then. So far, I love it.

I was largely in the same boat, deciding between B12, B14, and YCW coils. Ultimately, I went with B12 because the price was too good to pass up (paid $750 shipped for the set, then another $250ish for all new mounts and rubber). Coming from an M-Sport suspension, I didn't really care to go any lower, as I already got pretty close to scraping the front bumper entering certain driveways or parking lot entrances.

While the ProKit springs don't do much for the car visually, the B8 struts do a TERRIFIC job of absorbing impacts, and give the car much more stability around corners and on uneven roads. I haven't yet tested the limits of the suspension, as it hasn't quite settled....but it's a perfect setup for a daily driver.

Overall, I'm very pleased with the purchase.

Hopefully this helps.

The b14 give marginally improved ride quality over the b12. Best bang for buck out of the two, definitely the b12. Ive ridden in both so I know first hand. However if you want marginally better ride quality (and I mean MARGINALLY) and height adjustability, then go for the b14.

The truly best bang for buck is the Koni Yellows and Eibach Pro kit. Slightly cheaper than the B12s, as good ride quality and has rebound dampening adjustability.

Good news is that your Pro-kits will settle a bit more over the next 2 months.

FWIW, Here is pic of fully-assembled Bilsteion B12 kit. We have this kit on our 335i shop car. Only about 1" lowering (compared to non-sport - less for sport models), which is fine. Suspension is firm, but awesome at speed and on curves. Huge performance upgrade over stock.

I wrote the thread mentioned above reviewing the B14. I can say that with over 1k miles logged I still love my coilovers, I'm still happy with my purchase, my wife still doesn't complain about the ride and I can't wait to get the car out on the track in June!

Old thread, but I'm upgrading and need some real user experience! How have those B14 coilovers held up? Any problems with the shocks or struts? Any feedback on the warranty program? thanks!
