Hello,
Related to post #2 on the first page: ================================ 3. Do I need a newer SP Daten to code my vehicle? That depends upon your current integration level. Integration levels correlate to Progman (older) and ISTA/P software versions (current.) Your integration level tells you the minimum SP Daten needed to code your car. Google bmw group ista/p version and i-level overview and examine a chart. Here is an example from ISTA/P P3.57.0: ================================ any idea why E83 is not covered by ISTA/P VERSION AND I-LEVEL OVERVIEW? I was always curios why istap or istad is not reading the ilevel for my E83/2010. Thank you, paul |

I see that Bimmergeeks download is dated Mar 24. I have an earlier version that is working fine. Are any differences between this one and prior downloads?

Hi,
Is there anyone willing to remotely install the program to my computer? I’ve been having a hard time installing due to small issues every time. I’ll compensate $40 for your time through PayPal. Thanks! |

I am going to try and get this going today. I've had the cable for a little while now. I will let you know if I am successful.

I just researched your posts...on INPA and N55.. I seek your advice on INPA…Engine Menu for N55 I seem to have a little challenge here- I wanted to check a car of my friend…E90 with N55 engine; the connection to car works…Inpa/cable are able to read the car via Functional jobs Menu….BUT when I go through an Engine Menu and select MEVD17xx ECU for N55 I am getting Error mesage (reading od D_Motor group…IFH 0019….see attached picture). That Error message comes even with cable not connected I already did check Inpa and Ediabas and the necessary IPO and PRG files seem to be in place….see screens Also…when I go to any other Engine type through the menu it works…so only initialization of MEVD17/N55 is the problem From your posts I understand it is because of scripts...which were only available in German...are there any links to them? Thank you Can you kindly advice what else shall be checked / adjusted in order to get this working Thank you |

help with ISTA
Thanks for the thread. I have an issue with ISTA i was hoping someone could please help me out with.
Install was per the files from bimmergeeks on a windows 10 64bit computer. One thing i did to this computer is turn off the Windows indexing function, not sure if that impacts anything. Ultimately, everything works...almost. When I went to unzip the file, the instructions say to “unblock” the file in properties before unzipping, but that option was not there. After unzip, I had to manually unblock the sqldb files, but I am thinking some other files are still blocked. I went to register my battery, and out of the many options, i decided to try with ISTA. I can read my car, clear faults in any modules, but when i get to the register batter screen, click on function to register battery, the attached screen pops up and it just stays blank. What is weird is KL15 and KL30 have dashes, which i believe means the SW thinks the ignition is off? That is odd since it read the car and displayed all modules before i went to this function. Can someone please point me in the right direction? I was able to register my battery via INPA and Toolset, and also code my car to the new battery using NCS. Just ISTA has a small issue.

Inpa Install - Issue
Hello, I am a new member. I am trying to run some diagnostics on my 2010 E93 as my hardtop is showing a lock error, won't move and chimes constantly during driving - very irritating! I have looked at the posts and descriptions but am still having issues getting INPA to connect with my car. I started with a clean windows System 7 32bit install on my hp laptop. I then installed Mikes Easy BMW tools. I installed the driver for my K+DCAN cable (bought from Amazon last week - its a clear plastic cable with the built in chip). I tried to connect but it is saying : Interface isn't connected or doesn't respond. I checked this error and there is a mention on some sites that the ediabas.ini file needs to be checked to make sure it is set to OBD interface. I searched this file in my computer and a text file comes up which is indeed set to OBD. Is the file they are speaking of a text type file? Is there any other reason this might not be collecting. Note that I set the port to COM1 and the Latency to 1 as directed. I would sincerely appreciate anyone's help on getting this going! Thanks in advance.

Inpa Issue
Thanks for the reply. Not sure that it helps but much appreciate any response.
Here is the current situation. I wiped out all INPA files and re-installed including the driver. Finally INPA recognized the cable is connected. I connected to my e93 and ran a diagnostic on my Hard Top Module - I got an error back saying that "Requested control unit "CTM_93_2, CTM_93_3' not found. Control Unit Found: 'CTM_93_5'. Program will be stopped!". I checked the Ediabas files and can see that the CTM_93_2 file and the 93_5 files are there? Any help would be really appreciated. How do I get INPA to look for and reference the correct file? Some mention to use another test platform or? I know someone out there has had this problem and has fixed it. Please forward your thoughts so I can fix my car. Thanks |
