Need new tires but but don't know which ones to get
I am new to this forum. I bought a 2008 328i 6mt about a year ago and I'm having a hard time choosing new tires. I live in south Florida so snow is not an issue.
I would love to get the Pilot super sports but over $1000 on new rubber is a bit steep for me so I kept looking and came across the continetal extreme contact sport but then a friend of mine mentioned the Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 and another highly recommended the Nitto nt555 g2 which is what he has on his charger. I like the price of the Indy 500 and all the reviews seem good but the nittos seem better and I found a place that is offering them at 20% off which brings them to the about the same price as the Indy 500 i'm just worried the that they will make the ride to harsh. I'm getting pulled in a lot of different directions so any advice or recommendations that might make this decision easier is very welcome |

I agree! i have indy 500s on my 08 328i and love them. they grip really well in both dry and wet and are really smooth.

I like my indy 500s. Probably the best bang for the buck and the grip is awesome.
I'd take the contis over the firehawk but obviously they're more pricy. No experience with the nittos. I really like sumitomo HTR Z III as well and they're comparably priced to the firehawks. These are all good tires and you'd be happy with any of them so choose what's the cheapest or what looks the best. Personally I don't like how the fire hawks look but I like everything else about them. |

Out everything you wrote, I'd go with the contis if the Michelins are out of the race.

Another option to consider would be the Hankook Ventus V12 Evo2. I've run them in the past and had good luck with them. They'll be priced between the Firehawks and the Contis. Check out the reviews and test results from Tire Rack!

Thank you everyone for your replies. I'm getting my new Indy 500s installed next Tuesday. the Dicission came down to the fact that they where the bast bang for my buck. Maybe next time I will step up to a nicer tire but for now I'm going to put the money I saved into my MPE fund
