Do a lot of people use Liqui Moly oil?
I actually have owned a bmw for a while now but I’ve noticed this liqui moly brand oil which is made in Germany and is known as a premium oil. Found it on amazon 5w40 and seems like a good price too. What’s everyone’s experience with it?https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...75ad53d7dd8f93

Yes Liqui Moly is great oil . I'd highly recommend ordering from FCP Euro as you get a lifetime warranty on EVERYTHING ! It cost me about $20 to ship back the old only . So about $60 for the first oil change, and than $20 for any one after that just due to shipping costs of getting the old oil back to them.

eh. i found that there is no difference in oils really - castrol, mobile, penzoil, amazon shit, liquimoly.
some people will swear on certain oils but those are the same people that can hear a hummingbirds wing pattern during construction. |

A lot of pople use Liqui Moly and their cars are fine. I have used it for a long time, however i have switched over to Motul and now I can hear a hummingbirds wing pattern during construction. porsche959 you nailed it with this saying! Gave me a good chuckle.
Now, if you go to Liqui Moly website you have an option to search for oil based on the car manufacturer, year and model. You will notice that for our cars, 3 oils come up. None of these 3 oils carry a BMW-LL01 approval, and are not listed as FULL Synthetic oil. They are what Liqui Moly calls Synthesis Technology. If you search Moly site for FULLY Synthetic oils you will be greeted with these options: Not saying Liqui Moly is not good, but it is nice to be fully informed. I have only used Liqui-moly a few times in other cars, but starting next change I will use it because of FCP Euro's lifetime warranty. After sending the old oil back, an oil change will cost just the price of shipping. I can't even buy SuperTech at Walmart + a filter for that.

Is Liquid Molly spamming E90 Post, or what? Haven't we had enough threads about oil for a car that was introduced 14 years ago? We STILL need to see videos on how to change oil in the E9X as of November 2019? Really?

You should see the n54 tuning thread, where it starts all over again every other week. How to get 500HP? which mods are the best? which atf is the best? what turbos?

They don't refund you anymore but instead they give you credit for future order. But yes they have lifetime warranty system.

Shipping it back to CT from CA costs pretty much the same as the oil, so don't get too excited...

Lately I've been using Valvoline Euro 5w40 or Quaker State Euro 5w40. Both have the Porsche A40 spec, and I think they also have BMW LL-01. I change every 5000 miles because I do really short trips now. Takes me about a year to go 5000 miles where before I was driving 100+ miles daily.
