Are coilovers still recommended on M-Sport models?

I'm picking up my first BMW soon and it has m-sport suspension. I planned on keeping it stock, but the general consensus is that coilovers are the one thing that people recommend. Just not sure how true this is if the car already has m-sport suspension. I adore how the car feels already and don't see how it could get better. It's an E9x.

I'm not sure that I agree with the concept "that coilovers are the one thing that people recommend." However, while the M-Sport suspension was great for me before I upgraded, it's still a suspension that has some age to it.

You didn't specify the year or the miles of the car you're picking up but odds are the rubber is getting worn. Since you're in FL you're not going to be dealing with the rust issue but the overall point is that in 2019 any fresh suspension components will probably feel better than even the M-Sport.

I'll probably just keep it stock. It's a 2013. Felt amazing already so no point in modding

If you're ever looking at a refresh - Koni Yellows w/Eibach springs gave me a very similar feel to the M-Sport suspension while on the softest setting. The stiff setting is decent for the track.

If you like the ride I don't see why you would change it. You might like a subtle drop with a set of lowering springs like Eibach Pros or H&R Sport though

My main reason for getting coilovers was to be able to lower my car
