So.... as far as updates go, this is a boring one!

However the side repeaters on my car had seen better days. It's a 6yr old car now, but it's only just done 32k miles so prior to my ownership I think it's spent a bit of time parked up as the lenses had a green tint to them from mould.

£40 later and 5 mins of my time and the swap was done!

What bulbs are located inside these? Might order up a set of chrome ones.

I don't want to faff on with LED's though with canbus errors etc!

Can't remember what bulb off the top of my head but it's a fairly common one. Did chrome bulbs to mine and have new units ready to go on.

Car is looking really good! It was me and my mate that came up and bought your 135i brakes off you (or your Mrs)

Car is very impressive and has come a long way already. Not sure if I've missed it, but how are you finding the new suspension setup? Looking at the kit you have soon (on an e92)

OK, quick update....

I had my car booked into my local detailer for a full GTechniq detail.

This has consisted of a full decontamination of the paint and then a 2 stage machine polish to remove all (well, most) of the imperfections / swirls / light scratches that have accumulated over the cars 6 years on the road.

Exterior protection is the brand new CS Light product topped with EXO. The glass and wheels have been protected using GTechniq products too. The interior has been done too with all the relevant products.

Here are a couple of teaser shots he sent over the afternoon - cant wait to get it back tomorrow!

Look at that flake!

I will follow up with more picture tomorrow once I have collected the car!

Sorry mate, missed this post!

Thanks for the kind words, and it was a shame you couldnt see if when you travelled up here - work sadly was against me!

The susp set up is great, it can be a tad bouncy on poor roads, but overall a much better set up than stock, and the ride height it just perfect for me

Ok, so I collected the car today

It really does look amazing, I always thought the car was in decent condition for its age (6 years old / 35k miles) but MY GOD what a difference this has made!

I only managed to get a few pictures inside the DDB Detailing unit today as it was raining when I went for the collection

Wow that looks fantastic. I need to get mine done since it doesn't look like that at all. If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay?

Thanks!

It came to £500 including a new wash bucket & microfibre that I picked up as I was paying him!

GTechniq have a pretty standard pricing structure, so prices should be similar across the UK!

It was 3 days work, so I don't think it's a bad price TBH!

What is their recommendation going forward to keep it in top condition?
I was thinking £500 was a touch high until you said they kept it for 3 days.

Just normal washing with a good quality shampoo using 2 bucket method & mucrofibres to dry the car off.

Crystal Serum Light lasts 3-5 years and the EXO hydrophobic top coating lasts 12-18 months.

My local Gtechniq agent had just quoted £800 for the 2 stage machine polish and seal 😢

WTF?!

What product is that quote for?

Crystal Serum Black is really expensive, but I went with Crystal Serum Light (80% of CSB) topped with EXO.

Gave the car its first wash since being detailed last week.

Cleaning is now effortless, and thanks to the hydrophobic nature of the GTechniq coatings, drying is a complete doddle!

Obligatory beading shot:
