Here's my build (always in progress) of my FBO stage 2+ 08 e92 n54 335xi.

UPDATE 2018: Unfortunately, I totaled this car in the spring of 2018. After months of searching, I found almost the exact same car with lower mileage in Virginia and swapped all my upgrades to the new car. As you can see, I wrapped a new color, and will be continually making improvements and modifications in the years to come!

Some more bonus photos of the car's transformation since I bought it about a year ago. Bone stock with 68k miles and now at just over 83k. All mods minus the FMIC, downpipes, window tint, and general maintenance was done by me and some friends.

15" infinite baffle sub setup. All wiring has since been hidden behind the trunk lining. Unfortunately don't have photos of my airlift trunk setup but it's nothing special anyway

It's on Airlift Performance air suspension with 3P management. Airlift Performance front and rear shocks. Custom lengthened front sway bar endlinks. Unfortunately MUCH more expensive than a nice set of coilovers, so unless you want the stance/show car life, I would probably go with coilovers or springs.

Thanks! Just a cheap gloss black ebay one. I wrapped it to match my roof, mirrors, handles, etc.

I respect the work...........with that said, I do not like the car at all. I am not hating, just prefer a different look. If you are going to do air, please go a little more aggressive.

lol I suppose I appreciate the honesty can't go too aggressive since I tuck (not fender to lip) and hate negative camber. also my DD so don't want to rub all the time

Thanks for saying so! To me, everything "stance" about it is still an upgrade over stock in both form and especially function. No crazy camber, 30-way adjustable damping on all 4 corners, variable spring rates, etc. Much better than the monster truck sloshy xDrive suspension.

Here are some more photos of the tablet mount. Essentially it's one half of a Amazon suction cup tablet mount and the other half is a custom aluminum bracket my friend machined for me. One side is threaded with some delrin inserts. The tablet is an AstroTab A10. Full size USB for OBDII and micro USB for charging.




Thanks! Means a lot. I always try to keep it form = function, so nothing cosmetically should ever hurt functionality.

I plan on pushing more power with some upgraded turbos, inlets, outlets, e85, etc. in the future. Definitely wrapping a different color next season.

That's correct. You need a K+DCAN cable from a site like bimmergeeks or bimmersoft. I'm assuming you're familiar with MHD, the software that's on the tablet

thanks! my friend and I did it. He's good at the big pieces and my "specialty" is the small pieces (mirrors, handles, trim, etc.). Materials will come to about $700-$100 depending on the brand and accessories you need (heat gun, squeegees, magnets, etc.)
