Bimmertech is still selling Sat activation and 1 year subscription for
around 300 bucks so I assume it still works.
I think the expect you to have the hardware installed .
I think remote coding is part of the cost.
There seems to be some debate on if you need and FSC
code or not.
If you do a search for Sirius advanced titles only tons of stuff
comes up . On one of those thread a guy said after he installed
it all he had to do was call up Sirius to get it going . There was
a code if I recall but it sounded like it was one either on the module
or that you could read out of the module.

From what I’ve read the models after 2010 i think come with the sat receiver already installed and those need the fsc code, I could be wrong but I guess I’ll find out in the next week or so

Yeah around 2010 they started putting most if not all the
options in the Head Unit.

Alrighty everyone. Finished up the install, worked without coding as well. Unfortunately Title/Artist isn't working. Any ideas?

Is there a “list” button? That’s strange, title and artist work for me but it always shows track 2 on cd1 is playing

If you played those same songs on another Bluetooth device do they show the song title and artist? I was Thinking maybe the file is not configured correctly with the artist and song title

I'll test this with a friends phone, don't have anything else at the moment. I've tried Spotify, YouTube, and local MP3s on my phone

Update, tested it with a friends iPhone. Still nothing. Anyone have a clue? I added it to the loop right at the BT (call) module in the trunk.

Sammsung Galaxy 5 using Samsung music player.
(music player on phone turned on output set to bluetooth and paired
to phone)
Shows the current track that's playing the title or
the tune and next track . Next track works through the
steering wheel. No list options shown.

I always use the usb or sd card because of lost fidelity
to bluetooth. Those both show up like the cd player does.
You can scroll through the list .

Has the player on your phone been started ?
Do you see the link in your bluetooth device list
on the phone.?
If you put the box in the trunk you might try
running the phone next to the box to make sure
the bluetooth signal is as strong as it can be.
You have switch 4 for the bluetooth phone turned
off on the box . That's the way the original poster suggested.
(since you are using OEM phone )
Niko had it working on a Apple phone.

Yes, I've tried Google Play Music, Spotify, and YouTube.

Not sure what you mean by that but I see Artist/Title on my device, as well as the Car Kit on my Bluetooth settings

I've tried that as well, no luck. Though I doubt the connection is the problem, I've had it connected while I'm in my house 30 feet away

I'll post a pic below to show how the switches are currently set (this is how they came when I bought it from Niko)

My friends phone that I tried was apple, I believe it was an iPhone 9

You'd think it'd work just like any other box, not sure what's so special about mine

My second thought was maybe it doesn't work with apple lossless
files. I am using 320 kb mp3 and a few wave files.
But then Nicko has Apple devices and has reported it working
with an Apple streaming service.

I'm not sure what to think about it to be honest. I've tried the correct dip switch combination as well as Auto to no avail

I didn't have to code it to get it to work but I did anyways just as a precaution, still no luck on song info

Haven't been on this thread in a while. I've had this unit installed for about a year or so. Have one major annoying issue - sometimes the BT device disconnects from my phone (usually if I get in and out of the car with it running or something along those lines) and refuses to reconnect. The phone will show connected, but the BT device get's stuck on "Track 01".

Since power cycling the device requires waiting 20 minutes after shutting off the car, this dropped connection situation results in no BT connection for the remainder of the drive which is super annoying. Anyone else encounter this or have a solution?

I think I've experienced the same thing. I skip songs until it works, if that doesn't work I close the music app, open it up again, and skip songs again. That's worked for me
