Clunking low speed turns

So i took my front drive shaft off and the clunking at slow speeds when turning went away.. and there was a little play on the drive shafts u joint. I was wondering if there are any solid after market front drive shafts for XI, or should i just go with OEM? There's a few off-brands that are 1/4 the price of oem.

Are you positive it's not CV joints? They may not click now since there is no load going to them, they are just rolling.

When the front axle CV joints wear enough, you get vibration only when accelerating

hmm i dont think it's the CV joints, i had both axles replaced recently because i heard a clicking/ticking sound and the boot was slightly ripped with leaking oil... could it be the front diff or transfercase?

Hmm so i had my Front driveshaft removed and the clunking at low speeds when turning went away... I replaced the TC fluid and cleaned out and regreased the TC Actuator (gears looked good) and reinstalled the front driveshaft. Expected the clunking/hopping to go away but it didnt. Does this mean my TC is going bad? i would imagine if the front driveshaft was going bad it would clunk regardless of turning or not? any help appreciated
