Upgraded turbo???
Hey guys I bought my 2011 335i E92 about 6-7 months ago and from what I saw on the car when I get it everything was stock except cold air intake and metal charge pipe. I ended up going full bolt on and MHD stg 2+ and I took my car to BMW today and they told me my car definitely has an upgraded turbo from what it looked like to them. What would you guys suggest me doing since I'm not sure what turbo is on my car?

If you take off the turbo inlet and snap a photo of the compressor side of the turbo we can tell you if it is stock or not. I assume it is a stock frame unit otherwise you would have noticed sooner.

You would need to uninstall some things to know what you have. I assume since you had a shop working on it that you may not perform any work yourself? Do your MHD logs look normal for Stage 2+?

My guess is the tech that drove your car felt the increase in power and assumed it had a larger turbo rather than the stock turbo being turned up. No need to be disappointed though, spring is a great time to install a bigger turbo.
