I was quoted $1600 for just my front seats to get re-upholstered

M3 cowl

Got this for a decent price yesterday and just fitted it using whatever left over bmw screws I could find till I get new ones. Top covers are scratched to shit and the drivers side has a broken mount so I will either replace both top covers or just get them re painted and deal with the broken one. It still sits ok just doesn't go all the way down at the front. I am also getting new filters for them as well as I am doing an order from fcp tonight along with the screws and new hood vent trims

Buy the filters from amazon usa (a few years ago they were much cheaper than FCP)

Do what Vince done and sand covers back and respray the cowlings with plastic paint (SCA sell plastic paint in satin black)

Have the filters in my cart on fcp. Only like $55usd for the mann filters so not that bad. Also yeah I'll just do it myself. Checked prices for the covers new and they around 160-200usd each. How did you guys get them so cheap before

I haven't used ecs at all because their shipping is way too much but they have soo much shit I want I might use them next time I need something. But yeah fcp is too good. shipping prices are reasonable and never more than 10days to get delivered once its shipped

My genuine vents came. One of the old ones flew off while driving so I ordered new genuine vents and trims. I got the trims painted in gloss black this time instead of matte black.

I also have a combox waiting to install, just waiting for the connectors to arrive.

I have also finally bit the bullet on an AFE momentum gt intake after drooling over it for 2 years. So I can't wait till that arrives

Nah no scrubbing. I have 2 degrees negative camber all round so that is probably why I'm ok

Fcuking nightmare to install as the filter kept going all the way into the airbox and also the rear vtt inlet was too short and had to get my wife to tighten the clamp while I hold the inlet in. Not sure but I'm hoping i didn't pull the inlet too out that it has popped off from the other side but we will find out tomorrow if i get 30ff

6 months later...

It's been a while since I last posted here. Haven't done much besides gather a few parts I am still yet to fit. Have motorsport hardware stud conversion kit, diff lock down and combox still waiting to go in once I find some time for the this car.

Just put on new front tyres, Yokohama v105 to replace the old ones which were completely worn due to camber wear but that's it really

Today I decided I was going to adjust the ride height to even it out as it is just a bit lower on the drivers side but once I jacked up the car I just couldn't be bothered with the trial and error of trying to get it perfectly even so I ended up cleaning everything inside the wheel well instead including the lining, calipers and suspension. 4 hours later and it is looking very nice and clean in there on all 4 corners.

On another topic I had done a deal on a Corvette which I was supposed to pick up last week after rwc was done but the car failed and seller said he might end up keeping instead of spending more money on it, oh well shit happens. Looking for another one now. Was a shame since I drove up to geelong (3hrs round trip) and took a day off work just to go see and drive it
