Turns out that the only way that the Duraflex bumper will fit is if the shop were to cut out a part of my front support structure. Obviously that was a HELL NO!

He claimed to have tried every way he could think of to try and mount it but it wasn't possible, when he called the seller they confirmed that it did indeed require modifying the frame.

Since neither of us wanted to do that he ended up sending it back to them, after a bit of a battle and return shipping was on me. And truthfully he said the condition of the bumper was shit, I would have paid almost as much as the bumper itself just to have it smoothed out and fitted.

I did however speak to a new vendor today, specifically asked him about fitment and he called the manufacturer to verified that it would not require any modifications on the car, just the same light sanding and hole drilling. It is a fiberglass kit so i'm ehhhh about it all but he's going to get back to me later on with a quote. They're located in Cali and the manufacturer is giving a ship date of mid aug.

+1 about the duraflex bumper because my buddy in my BMW group bought one and we compared his with mine. Mine is polyurethane and required sanding by the headlights. With his on his e92 they had to cut the 1M bumper and put back together to make it fit. BOTH looks real good after completition

Why can this bumper be sold for the 1 series for $375 made of PP and yet for the e9x it is 4x that for a quality bumper.

PM me - I have contact for the vendor. I can give you pricing and shipping info. I'd been trying to get together a group buy since the shipping is a beast. There hasn't been much traction on it, so I pulled the trigger on a Cobb V3, VRSF FMIC and DP instead.

For those still interested, the supplier emailed me yesterday to notify me that they've made a fresh batch of the e92 bumpers. I believe these ones are pre LCI but they have both. (sorry for pic sizes)

As far as I've been told, he has pre LCI and LCI e90 and pre LCI and LCI e92. We already have seen pre LCI (via Game and others) as far as fitment. I was planning to purchase e92 LCI to test fitment on that one prior to ordering for others if the GB idea picked up traction. Vendor expressed interest in setting up a distributor arrangement, but so far none of the companies have been willing to set up a larger arrangement (hence I was interested in group buy).

We had a large GB with pre lci E90 with that other guys that screwed us.Im sure we can get another GB with those with E90 pre-lci.

Sounds like the supplier also has E92 LCI bumpers so please open up the GB to LCI folks also. I wonder if we could get a forum sponsor to do the GB for us.
