Find something from the UK. Shipping seems much cheaper.

I managed to pick up my E38 740i prop shaft for AUD$138 shipped and the E90 M3 rear axle (3.15 LSD, sub frame, all bushings, drive shafts, all suspension arms, no hubs) for <AUD$1800 shipped. Shipping component quote was GBP 439.50.

sorry for O/T, in respect of GST and custom duty, does the $1000 threshold include the shipping cost of the item?

You wish buddy!

By the way, when are you heading down to WP or EC next? I'm really keen on getting in a proper track day (without limp modes) before getting some of this suspension work done.

Supposedly it is off a 2009 E90 with 24,000 miles.

Yeah I'm just going to keeping my 135i hubs and brakes. Found my suspension! though I spent way more than I was planning to lol...

nah seriously dont you need a 3.85 ratio of something for a manual??

As for a track day i am easy and can go pretty much any time, just gotta get pete to lift my fat arse 10mm and get a set of fresh rear pads.

Nah, the 6MT 135i diff has a 3.08 final drive so the M3 DCT is the closest match at 3.15. The manual M3 final drive is 3.85 and definitely would not be rear tyre or highway driving friendly.

Haha, well let me know when you plan on next going. Thursdays are usually the best for me with a week or two's notice.

A few new mods

Been a bit slack with the updates so here we go.
Fitted the shadow line black window trim bugger of a job , mounted a P3 gauge and fitted up the M3 tower bar kit.

Still to be fitted is the M3 body kit and the OEM under seat fire extinguisher kit. Thanks to Paul for the hand me downs

Thoughts on the M3 tower bar kit Pete? I've been considering it to complete the front end on mine..

Easier access to the BR's would be a big plus!

I have the same strut tower brace and I'd definitely recommend it. Looks better, easier access and I definitely noticed some improvement in the steering accuracy and response.

Yes one of the best things you can do especially if you have an adjustable shock with camber plates.
The car definitely does seem better during a high speed bumpy turn, On the Putty road run the car was on rails, even Karen my boss was impressed .

Yeah, I got my 1 series version one from HPA for maybe $450 shipped I think. To be honest you can probably get it cheaper from ECS or something.

What's the black canister in the engine bay next to the windshield washer fill hole with the steel lines coming out of it in the second picture Pete?

Yes that is an interesting item, its made by Moon walker industries.
They call it a secondary inlet port carbon cleaning system with after burner
works really well.

Thanks for the reply Pete! Hmmm what does it do? Is it supposed to stop carbon build up on the valves?
