Took the kids camping this week. I.E., sit around and watch dad cook on a tiny stove and boil water to clean up. The fan (and campsite with electricity) was a life saver, as it was in the 90's in Rutledge, GA this week - Hard Labor Creek State Park.

I'm sure it is. And it works much better that I do!

Rolled it over

Rolled it over 100k this weekend. Value dropped by 20%??
I've had it for about 20k of those miles. Running just as well as ever, such a pleasure to drive.

Holy crap I grew up with one of those stoves and the matching lanterns watching my dad cook bacon in the a.m., what a time capsule. I still have my coleman propane stove that I bought 20 years ago and it looks perfect too.

We were camping a few months back and I thought to myself I'll likely never use my propane lanterns again as I put the batteries in the LED lanterns. Kind of nostalgic moment and I thought about the old white gas lanterns of my youth. I felt like such a big kid getting to pump them up.

My week to weekend. Doing a waterpump and rebuilding turbos before an event at Daytona. Absolutely miserable job. Notice the downpipes on here and lack of motor mount? Missed that step.

Passing tech before being let on track after morning autocross. My son in his GTI. I'm blessed to have a kid who enjoys the same stuff as me to share it with. He was never really into stick and ball sports so I'm happy to help him do some track stuff rather than paying for uniforms and travel ball that my friends spend thousands on. He is fast on track, I should have really gotten him into karting when he was younger.

I never take much for pics of my car except when I go do stuff with it.

Funny to see a wagon grided with true sports cars. GT3RS, a bunch of new Corvettes, and some big dollar cars in the other rows not pictured where they grouped the faster cars together. No on track pics, hopefully the event has something from the photo guy. I quickly found the limits of my car in the infield of Daytona. Even with M3 arms and rear sway I didn't feel confident on some corners, it's just not enough to offset the speeds the car makes. NEEDS MORE BRAKES! I really need to start with smaller, lighter wheels, and tires.

and the reason for my cylinder 1 misfire. Had to go to autozone before the hour drive home to buy a $22 sparkplug. Took me out of session. An N54 on 5 cylinders with a 3" exhaust sounds pretty similar to a Subaru.

Changed out the original trim for some spares that I covered in carbon fiber wrap. Need to do the steering wheel trim next as the chrome is peeling. I removed the shifter trim and removed the chrome film from it before covering it in vinyl and will do the same on the steering wheel trim.

the ride is good. i daily my E91 with an 30 mile commute each way and the roads aren't the best but handling feels nice and responsive and of course a noticeable difference than stock. I feel a lot more confident on them around corners etc,.

Not an E91 although I had to park my car right next to this F31. Not sure what color is but man it looked great in the sunlight.

Two different blue BMW colors.
