N52B30 VVT disabled by DME
Hello everyone,
I am having an unsual problem with my prelci E90 330i, N52B30 – once or twice a month, my car starts with VVT disabled. I can see in live data, that DME sets VVT angle to maximum immediately after startup and keeps it at max all the time. There are no issues with VVT itself - when it is working, it is working fine, without any problems. Also, at the bottom right in the picture you can see „operating mode“ VVTNOTL1, which I asume means VVT off mode. After couple of restarts VVT starts working normal and „operating mode“ shows UGD letters. There are no errors stored or pending. All other engine parameters are within spec. Do you have any ideas why this might be happening? Last edited by Prologic; 02-09-2022 at 08:46 AM.. |

Mine occasionally does that too, with no errors logged. Hardware is fine, so i guess that is something going haywire in bmw software somehow, somewhere...a restart usually cures it though
