They ain't what they used to be. The owner retired about five years ago and the son (I think) took over. They are now strictly sales versus the once great service shop they were.
Anything with that mileage from that part of the country that doesn't show detailed undercarriage pictures, I would run far and fast from.

Feeler and punt it if it's not allowed but there is usually some good discussion within this thread rather than the general forum. I'm kicking around the idea of selling my N54 swapped manual rwd wagon. I documented some of the build on a thread here on the forum. I'm trying to figure out where to price it and how much demand there really is for these. Mine is a rebuilt title. I bought it crashed with damage on the front right corner. Headlight, fender, front control arm were damaged but it didn't really matter too much since I planned to do so much to it.

2012 Alpine white 125k on the body, engine and 6 speed trans is 2007 N54 pulled from a donor. Unknown miles on the donor but I have the vin report for it where the last entry was 64k in 2017.The wagon was awd but is now rwd with a full drivetrain and front subframe swap.
Heavily optioned car, pretty much everything but M sport.
Saddle brown, sport, HK audio, NAV, lighting, cold weather packages.
All control arms replaced front and rear, M3 arms up front, M3 rear sway bar.
Mild upgraded turbos from turbolabs, recently rebuilt. New waterpump, new motor mounts,
all the usual gaskets done when the engine was out. Relocated inlets, FBO, MHD OTS tune. New bilstein b4's up front, BC coilovers in the rear.
I have some stuff to do still, I plan to do over xmas shutdown at work. I need to get the fender and bumper resprayed to get a better color match. I'm running a non heated wheel clockspring so I need to replace it to the correct one. Need to actually install the rear pdc sensors etc
Just ticky tack stuff that doesn't bother me much. I WFH so don't drive much so it hasn't been a priority.

It's a car for a select owner with the rebuilt title and motor swap Any ideas on what I should list it at?

edit: I'll try and fix the rotated wrong pics when I'm in front of a computer instead of a phone.

Not everybody knows the designations. So please if you want to take shots please direct them at seller not me. So many of us cross post links here. This is why people get tired of forums and leave.

PS have a great day.

There was no “shot” directed at you, as I didn’t think you were the one who posted the ad. Didn’t know there would be such a strong reaction to my comment about something that I found to be funny.

You have a great day as well!

Diggin the roof rail delete. My $.02 would say button up the odds and ends and truly prep the car for a potential sale with a draft listing and photos. That exercise alone will tell you if you are ready to part with it and what sale price you are comfortable at.

Late LCI's had the option of being ordered without rails.

I've decided it's going for sale. I'm just trying to figure out a price right now. I'm going to build an E61 335d if the price of diesel settles down. I plan to fix the last few items over xmas.

There was a lci auto 335 swap listed in Miami yesterday at $22k. Silver over black.

Bimmer Barn on youtube might get his 335 swap on BaT so also watching that. His car is an auto as well.

I am the second owner, first owner was an older lady who did everything when it was required.

I have receipts for the Valve cover/ and gasket, Oil Pan Gasket (replaced in the past 5k miles), oil filter housing gasket, both diffs and Transfer case service and an oil change in the past 500 miles, new tires 4k miles ago, new brakes in the past 10k miles. New rear suspension in the past 15k miles, new axels in the past 5k miles, water pump replaced in the past 8k miles, the car drives like it's brand new, and now looks new because I had it paint corrected and coated. I replaced all the door handles that became sticky, any trim inside that started to peal. Only thing I didn't get to was the drivers side door cup, which has a few little peals in the coating, not sticky or annoying so I left it as is for now. Clean title, no accidents, all original paint! The car currently sits on BMW style 193M m sport 18 inch wheels, with new staggered Michelin Pilot sport 4 all season tires in 225/40/18 and 245/35/18s.

Car currently sits at 129,500 miles, and will go up. It has the BMW oil change program active for 3 years and unlimited miles, the oil has been changed every 5-10k miles under previous ownership, and 3-5k miles under current ownership.

Because Its such a good [...]

I am watching Bimmer Barns closely. While your salvage title does not bother me, it does decrease its value imho (for insurance purposes). I am nowhere near 20k on it however. BaT prices have been coming back to earth recently.

After doing quite a few more miles in the car, and having lots of interest and trying to find a replacement. I realized that the e91 is just too darn good. IMO, these cars are super undervalued still and there is nothing that can do or feel like a manual e91. So as of now, I don’t think it’s worth selling it.

Thank you to everyone for the interest

Smart move. You'd regret it. And after seeing that the moderators here continually allow children to crap on people's threads, if I ever decide to sell, it won't be here.

Bimmer Barns is live. I'm hoping he does well, I know the owner via a collective FL wagon group. He's a super nice guy.

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...omments-anchor

Mine is not the same car at all. LCI, manual, much more desired color combo so while his will be a data point, with my rebuilt title it won't add a lot of direct correlation. FWIW my insurance doesn't care one bit about the rebuilt title. I've seen this posted before but maybe it's an issue in other states? My insurance bill is ridiculous but I have an 18 y.o. boy at home and a half dozen cars and boats that I insure.

And yes I agree prices are softening some but some cars are still bonkers on BaT. Apparently 535 manual wagons are the new benchmark for silly prices.

Even the Hack Mechanic may be searching for an E91. It seems the price floor for high mileage wagons remains low, "bargain" or not.

I hope Chris gets a good deal too even though he optioned it pretty much the opposite if what most desire lol. Started with a Pre-LCI, auto and idrive. Oddly those are what I prefer. The headliner kills me too I've done one on a long roof and its no fun. I don't see it going for much more than 13-15k. The last N54 pre-lci manual I think sold somewhere around 18-20k? It was a little rough around the edges too.

As for that 5 series. Insanely low miles but who wants to spend that kind of money for BMW's ugliest headlights and n54 headaches haha.
