New Tire Puncture - Repair or Replace ?

Hey Guys -

I bought a new set of Michelin 4S tires 3 weeks back from TireRack and to my luck I got a screw in one of them. They came with the road hazard insurance but I am not sure if the tire needs to replaced, plugged or patched for optimal safety ? (see attached image) Thoughts ? Thanks

Just get it patched. That's right on the tread area, perfectly safe to patch.

It has the road hazard insurance. Take it by Tire Rack and let them judge. My guess is they'll patch it and send you on your way without doing paperwork.

A few years ago we picked up a screw on our 4Runner on a camping trip. 500 miles from home we stopped at a Ford dealer. Vern Eide Ford in Mitchell not only patched it for free, they gave us a loaner so we could go get lunch while they did it ASAP. They wouldn't take my money. There are still people who will do right by one another.

Thanks all, got it patched at the dealer and called it a day. Hope the patch lasts a while.
