I Drive Bluetooth not activating

Hi, new to this forum and an E91. I've searched and searched and can't seem to find anything concrete where anyone has the same issues as I am having.

When I try to activate my Bluetooth on the i drive it just keeps saying "activating" and won't move on from there.

My car is a January 2011 E91 LCI wagon. I think it's a CIC system (I'm not sure) it has one CD drive and one AUX port in the centre console, no USB other than the one in the glove box.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hi, I have attached pictures of the module in the boot and pictures of what's on my idrive screen including the Bluetooth activating screen that I can't get past.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

it seems that you have business navigation(cic-mid), no professonal (cic)
also, i see photo of the TCU module, but sometimes there can be MULF2 module also, _under_ TCU module, on the same bracket
you have to unscrew few nuts and move to left bracket to release it

Unfortunately no module underneath the TCU module. What's the difference between CIC mid and CIC?

ok. connect only white connector to TCU, and you should see red light coming from module MOST (green fiber optic) connector
if it is not coming you have to check fuse for TCU or replace module

Just an update on this, I've managed to get the Bluetooth working. There were some wires disconnected in the passenger footwell that looked similar to the wires going to the Bluetooth module in the rear. Upon connecting these the Bluetooth works perfectly!
Now on to my next project of creating a usb slot in the centre console, I currently only have a phone cradle and aux port.
