I have this bookmarked on my wish list:

Anyone tried this before?

Wow, that's an impressive piece of kit. Admittedly, it's the kind of kit I would only fit to a cheap car though, just because there's no many ways installation could go wrong. I assume you have to get the measurements absolutely perfect otherwise it's junk.... and you essentially damage your car if you get them wrong.

So try first on a cheap car...... but then it isn't really worth it, is it? Who cares about pranging a cheap car on a bollard?

I bought long time ago a trunk release handle that has backup camera, looks 100% OEM except the output is RCA.
Which I would connect to this system if I do get it.

Measurement do have to be spot on, like you said. Otherwise the image will have destortion/artifacts and won't be seamless.
The only "damage" would be to the side mirros, which I'll test on some covers that I would get from aliexpress or from a junkyard.

Just interested to see if anyone tried it or not.
From some youtube videos, it looked nice.

Calibration process does take a bit of time, but what doesn't!

I think that, at least in my E82 retractable mirrors, there is not much space inside to fit a camera.
Any luck in E90?

Yea, with power folding mirrors there might be less space available... hummmm.

Well, don't need to worry about it now. No money to spend on these kind of 'toys'

Yea, a pre-LCI model. The 3D car model doesn't affect the end result. It's not like you select the model and it integrates into the car somehow.

Really need to finish the stupid Android project then I can start saving up for something like this.

Well no but it appears the yellow highlights are where they recommend placing the cameras

I see what you mean. I believe those yellow highlights are the turn signal flashing.
They have some YouTube videos you can see it in action.
