hi guys, read this whole thread. learnt alot. now i have a couple of questions
found a set of calipers plus rotors for a good price. but there is a catch. its from an f80, now from what i read the f80 uses 380mm rotors, but the caliper is the same as the 370mm kit. so my question is, can i just get the rotors machined down to 370mm? i assume the rear is the same as the f30 kit. or am i wrong about this? i will be fitting this to a e90 pre lci , 320d my other question, i know that 18" wheels are a tight fit, can some measure the total diameter of the caliper/rotor assembly? or maybe just the inner diameter of the 18" wheel that needs 1-2mm shaved from the calipers. that way we would eliminate any doubt of what fits and what doesnt. thanks in advance for the help cheers |

dam, thought the back would be PnP. thought about getting them machined down, but if the brake pads are the same for both 370 and 380mm, that means the disc is probable just "pushed" out more. so if i machine them, i will have less disc in contact with pad.

If you machine front to 370 and rear to 345 they will fit.

Yes, m3/4 rotors have 5mm ring around the hat not being used. Since caliper will mount 5mm closer to hub it will be spot on. They have to be milled and ballanced. So you need to know what are you doing.

Thought about switching up to this set from my standard performance one with 338/324 combo. But the only thing I can't get past is the calipers not looking that good to me, design wise. But I guess that makes me crazy, however I could fill up my 19's a bit more and these would definitely do that.

In response to the bloke who had his brakes bled by the dealer and found the nipples to be leaky, I find that Brembo nipples are very stubborn and dont seal as well as say an Ate or Bosch caliper. Must be something to do with the harder metal in the Brembo caliper or simply the seat of where the nipple seals against, or the nipple design. Basically the nipples seem to get super tight yet they still weep a tiny bit. I had to nip them up again after a week and wash off the wept fluid. So it must be characteristic. I haven't bothered to put a torque wrench on them but im willing to bet they will still weep.
Good to see the uptake on this mod is still going strong ![]() |

ECS makes a bracket for the rears but they won't sell it individually, spoke to customer service today. They want a ludicrous amount of money for their kit.
https://www.ecstuning.com/b-ecs-part...607ecs01akt12/ Apparently they mill the rear calipers and with their proprietary bracket the F80 m performance kit works perfectly. I just can't justify spending that kind of money when this kit can be had for far less $$. Looking at their price, milling the rears on your own and going with 535 rear rotors seems the way to go. I really think ECS makes a high quality product, but this is a little ridiculous. Why not make this bracket available? |

We have the same problem here. Second hand parts are still quite expensive, especially parts off M cars.
Trick is to look around on ebay where they list the master with booster but only mention one or the other. Split it and hock off the booster, or install the entire assembly and hock off your original booster. |

LHD is 34312283533 RHD is 34312283534. I think the brake line ports are on opposite sides.
