The rest of the job is cake. Its this damn hose.

The PO has replaced the hose I think. It looks to be in good shape so thats a plus.

Unfortunately they used silicone on the valve cover instead of a gasket. I'll have some cleaning to do im sure
Be thankful you don't have the external oil separator with it's lower hose to the oil pan. When I got that VC hose off this AM my fun had only just barely started.

I installed a 3 stage manifold upgrade in my 325i the other day, pics a few pages back. I had an installer error tho (D'oh!) and had to take the manifold back out today to fix the lower hose and put it back in the correct place. It's one of those things that mercifully gets easier the more you do it, because none is the preferable number of times. Some of it gets frustrating like that hose but just keep trying different things and walk away for a few if you're stuck eventually they all yield.

Good deal...does the 325 run better with the upgrade?

I flashed the Bimmerlabs 330i tune too I just got it aligned this evening (it got a new suspension too) and have to wait until monday to get tags but I took it to redline once on the way home from alignment and it feels like a different car, way more midrange up to the top, it's sad how choked down the 325i is.

Sounds like a winner man

Glad it all worked out for you. I bet the suspension makes a HUGE difference too

If it breaks?
if you cut the corrugated free from the quick connects you'll find the quick connects have barbed fittings underneath.
3/4 hydraulic hose slips over them perfectly.

and it will last the life of the car and you can pull the intake off whenever you want without fear.

I discovered this as an act of desperation, but now I like just having a rubber hose.
