holy crap. Im looking forward to see the giac flash here in the states. Beating a v3 with dp's by 2 car lengths is pretty insane. I really gotta see some vids.

the guy with the V3 messed up his settings completely. So next time he races the GIAC guy it should be different results.

He really mess up the settings, I guess cause I don't know much about V3 brand files! cause the v3 guy has a downpipe. From what I know a downpipe can make a big difference especially how fast a turbo can spool up.

Thanks Eugene. I think the heat is on with this flash and the expected power outputs are enticing. Cant wait to see some more testing and comparisons.

I think the GIAC company has a great staff, I have heard they have a team of 15 working on the M3 and 335 files. GIAC is also the top brand for Porsche. So I think my car is in good hands when I use there products.

The v3 user, by his own admission, didn't follow directions and used old software to load the new maps. This resulted in his Ignition Correction defaulting to 200%. Which will not only make the car feel sluggish but drop power by 25-30whp. This is caused by running 7-8 degrees of ignition retard under boost. Instead of the default of 3-4. Max power will probably be around 2-3 depending on fuel quality.

V3 user needs to dial in that ignition correction %. I suspect a different outcome then.

at the V3 user for not following directions on the new maps/firmware
This is the thing I have always wondered??

Why all the adjusting?? I guess it is just in my find that a file when its ready it should be fast and good!! simple and no fuss

There is no messing necessary. The user didn't follow directions when he updated to new maps. The process takes 3 minutes and is free. The downside is that you have to read and follow the directions When GIAC makes improvements/updates to their flash, do you think you are going to get them for free or be able to do them yourself?

I know your happy with your tune but let's be reasonable with the conclusions.

Yes, we do get free updates! but we just have t visit a GIAC dealer that is all. For me I just feel if I spend the money then I should not have to DIY. But that can me only I don't know about other people.
