Emission readiness on map 1

My friend has a completely stock 2009 n54 with just a JB4 with the latest firmware and his location is Canada. I told him he can get all monitors ready even when he is on map 1. He just needs to switch to map 0 for the e-test. Is this true?

Put it in map 0 and do a drive cycle until all the monitors are ready.

I can confirm that readiness can be achieved with the JB4 on map3 with a backend flash in place with the proper diagnostic codes enabled.
