LOL! The very same can be said for the ones who "choose" to fill out surveys.

I'm totally surprised by Merc up there at the near-top. I am totally not surprised by Jeep down at the near-bottom. Our Grand-Cherokee was a giant piece of dog shit of a car.

What's shocking about this whole thing is that anyone even pays attention to JD Power anymore. I don't know about everyone else, but I have never once looked up a product I was interested in using JD Power & Associates.

Oh no now we've added a conspiracy theory to all of this madness.

NEWSFLASH

I didn't reference the study at all in my post addressing yours.

Your argument is: I have a couple buddies that have had problems with their cars. Thus, all Mercedes cars must be unreliable.

My response is: That's crazy. I don't care if you know them. The sample size is microscopically small. Absurdly small. And trust me, I'm not getting paid by anyone to say this.

Just wanted to clear up where I was coming from. I know I'm not going to be able to dissuade you from your stance that a few friend's car problems must be wholly representative of an entire brand.

Idk why people are confused by the gaps between manufacturers who share same assembly and parts plants such as Toyota and Lexus. There's a logical explanation. Obviously, the workers build Lexus' first during the mornings and by night shift, they get tired as fuck then start putting together the Toyota's with sloppiness thus explaining the reliability gaps.

Oops, sorry, it's not 2010, it's 2011. It is the problems reported over the past 12 months of a 3 year old car.

Directly from JD Power and Associates:
This car reliability study measures problems experienced during the past 12 months by original owners of three-year-old (2011 model year) vehicles, includes 202 different problem symptoms across all areas of the vehicle. Overall dependability is determined by the level of problems experienced per 100 vehicles (PP100), with a lower score reflecting higher quality. The Vehicle Dependability Study is used extensively by vehicle manufacturers worldwide to help design and build better vehicles, which typically translates to higher resale values and higher customer loyalty.

You guys do know that Toyota has over 5+ manufacture facility in the United States to build most of the Toyota line while Lexus is built mostly in Japan (with the exception of the Lexus ES line).

Nope, I think it is not for any AMG model. Three of my buddies own C63 AMG and they are all far reliable than my Bimmers.

My 2009 C63 was lemoned after it spent 6 months at the service department out of the 9 months I owned it. From my experience it applies across the board.
