I appreciate alll of you that have posted your cancelers, and its absurd that mine look exactly the same and don't work. It seems like with the ebay seller I bought from, if I return them for as a defective product, they have the manufacturer check them and then they send replacements. Not sure how long that takes but I might just bite the bullet and buy them from JLevi even though they are about 2x the price.

Another thing I noticed on my drive to work this morning is that the error doesn't appear when the lights are off or if I just turn on the parking lights, but they use to w/o the cancelers. Makes me think maybe it is a ballast issue, will talk to Nick when he gets in.
hey anything new what nick told u? and how do u like your lights?
i want to get them too any advice?

Since there are a few of you in this thread who have installed them, do any of you have pictures of where you mounted the ballasts? Or if you order the xenons from Jlevi do they come mounted to the headlight unit?

Hm... Looks really nice. Might be a nice upgrade for my car. I'm happy with the Halogens and all, but the clear corner is kind of winning me over here.

The lights look awesome. With the error cancelers they stay on but I cannot get rid of the error message. The JLevi cancelers look exactly like the eBay ones and output the same result. The option exists to re-flash the LCM, but after talking with the three Houston area BMW dealers (one quoting $400, another at $350, and the third flat out refusing to do it), I am at wits end taking them off and returning them.

I did call up Umnitza and they advised it was probably the ballasts, which JLevi vehemently denies. Umnitza also said that the Canbus ballasts are specifically designed for the E90 and will work. I checked out their set up and it seemed pretty solid. LED AEs and AEs run as DRLs, something that would cost about $170 to upgrade the Depo P90s. I may go this route in the future, but right now I just want friggen headlights.

The ballasts are not mounted to the light, but you can zip tie them to some existing cables. There is ample room on both sides for them to be placed.

the error cancellers are basically all the same, so it sounds like one of yours is probably faulty. I installed on a 2006 with those same "FAST SHIPPING US SELLER" cancellers, and it worked great. Prior to the cancellers, i had nonstop flickering, it was like a rave party on wheels. In the original DIY i said that i still had the error, which i still do, but i figured out its an error with the fog light, NOT the p90s or cancellers

I just received and installed mine from JLeviSW, and experienced the same issues as you. I ordered my headlights with the their error cancelers, but received errors on every start up. I rectified the situation by using two sets of error cancelers on each headlight. For some reason (dont really care) this fixed the issue and now, no errors!!

The additional error cancelers I utilized are the ones that have been featured on sandman's DIY.

By the way, great turn around from JLeviSW, ordered on Saturday and received on Thursday.

The FRM conducts a bulb check when you turn the bulb on. If the bulb is off, it doesn't check and you don't get an error. It's not a ballast problem.

The simplest fix would be to code out the cold bulb check in the FRM. I installed LCI Xenon lights on me Pre-LCI halogen and coded out all the bulb checks, cold and warm, and don't get any errors.
