Need xHP option for N55 MHD!!

For those N54ers out there with xHP option checked in MHD, any noticeable difference?

Flashing as manual accomplishes the same thing I think. Don't think there's any reason for a specific xHP option

Id like to see the option in the JB4 Back End flashes as well, but I think a Burger needs to make those changes. Any thoughts on the BEF? I dont think there is a manual option either. E series N55 with the 6speed Auto and XHP

Ok, I reflashed with the "non-alpina/x-drive" option and did another log. I assume this affected torque requests as my shift points are super early in D mode no. Timing correction is better. I peaked slightly above target boost. I'm curious to learn how to read the logs, what if anything is standing out as less than optimal?

log looks far better. Drive the car a bit, let it adapt to the new settings. That may or may not help with the Proposed early shifts, albeit it should not be affected much if any.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news for the late E-series owners. But the OBD2 Flashing/unlock without initial bench flashing is not going to happen. At least right now anyway. We will keep digging to be able to do it, but right now Unfortunately the exploit that is found in the code on the F-series is just not present on the Late E-series as it is on the F-series DME. At least after digging its not there. Such is life in the game of hacking, sometimes things exist sometimes not.

So, with that the Late E-series owners still will need the one time bench flash to patch and unlock the DME for Full OBD2 functionality.

So for those wanting to start tuning their car, the process is simple. Send your DME in to me and i unlock it. I do next day turn arounds on DMEs. so the wait is not long. I do understand that some people don't want to remove their DME for whatever reason, but it really is easy.

That's a shame indeed. Part of the reluctance for removal is the obvious hassle of getting at the DMU, but also the additional expense. Here in the UK, the cheapest I've found to bench flash is 150 (around US$200).

I'll get around to it, but direct OBD flashing would certainly be a nice to have.

On a positive note, writing the code for late E series flex fuel and realtime tuning is going well, main thing to find is the cold start tables.

After finding the cold start tables could we then implement a GTS like startup roar?

The ones I was looking for are the ones to blend for flex fuel. Engine speeds for flare/roar would be different. It does seem like there is a lot of interest in non functional noises though.

Bimmerlife coils don't fit the N55. So no option will be made for them.

I say the same thing. The interest for non functional stuff is crazy.

The sound of a car has a much deeper perspective than just a non functional noise. Maybe it's like music. It makes that person feel some type of way.

Yep, Id be interested in burble intensity more than map updates for more power, to be honest. Its illogical but I utilize the sound more often than I utilize the power on a daily basis.
