I can’t seem to find a good step by step on how to change the VIN for new used transmission swap. Auto to Auto trans.I am getting errors 5087 and 51a9. INPA UIF confirms wrong vin for egs. See attached photo. I can’t find egs in WinkFP. Any help would be much appreciated! From my understanding this is required when using a transmission that came from a different car.

I have figured out what is supposed to be done but I am running into error 209 UIF cannot be read with WinkFP when I try to program new vin. Daten was just updated version 67.1 e89. Diag protocol is BMW-FAST. I have Force program in comfort mode checked UIF write after data, after program and in comfort mode all checked . I Also have a battery supply to the car. Inpa reads UIF just fine. Thank for the help !

Try posting the problem in the "coding and programming " subforum of bimmerfest.com. There are some really knowledgeable and helpful people on there who will likely know what to do.
