I have an 06 325xi and mine did the same thing about a year ago. I had it towed to a repair shop and they said they reset the computers and it started. Don’t know why it did it the shop said their best guess was it was an immobilizer malfunction.

1) Build Month/Year, as many electrical changes 3/1/2007 in mile of 2007 model run; 2) Last-7 Characters of VIN. 3) Make/Model of any Scan Tool available to you; 4) All CAS & dme fault codes read; 5) Battery voltage, measured at: a) Battery Posts in trunk; b) Jumpstart Terminals under hood; 6) Whether or not you can open the E-box under hood where dme is located? 7) Can you get Starter to Crank if you attach ONE Jumper Cable from Chassis Ground "Hex-Pin" on right fender under hood to bolt/ bracket on engine (adding a "Supplemental Ground cable)? 8) WHERE does the "Click" come from when START button pressed with foot on Clutch? From Starter Solenoid? From JB Fuse Panel area? From CAS? If adding "Supplemental Ground" allows Starter Cranking, then your primary Ground Strap, next to Starter, is bad. If STILL "NO Crank", and you have > 12.0V at Jumpstart Terminals under hood, then likely you have either: 1) Faulty B+ Cable connection to Starter, or 2) Faulty KL50 CAS Signal to Starter Solenoid to "Activate Solenoid". With answers to Questions above, we can suggest "Next Steps". George |
