Quick heads up!

The Santa Pod site is shit! Tomorrow is the only day on the 2016 calendar where they have actually split whats happening!
I didn't notice the Monster Truck event as I automatically followed the format they had used previously? So it will be more expensive to get in!
I will call them in the morning to highlight the balls up on their site but they probably won't give a shit!

I only ever go to the rwyb dates. Never check anything else. Do you know how much it will now be?

Edit. Just checked and it's £20 at the door however looking St the rwyb I go they say they charge extra when there are additional events on and the monster truck business isn't part of the calender so maybe, hopefully get away with an extra unnecessary £10 expense.

What a day! I managed to get in 16 runs and smashed my previous pb. Finally got into the 12s. Best run was a 12.88 and best trap speed of 112.06

Shout out to Russ and Jack, look forward to meeting again soon.

That superb news. 16 runs bloody hell lol.

Wish I could have made it now. Unfortunately I need new top mounts at the mo so driving the car as little as possible.

I think if the track hadn't closed Imy would be still going around and getting faster from the lighter fuel tank

It was a good day. I managed a 12.3@117. Did manage to get the trap speed up to 118 but from the logs it looks like I need to change the spark plugs. I've already changed the coils so they should be good. Timing was not great in top gear costing me a bit of speed. Cylinder 2 was the worst. Grip was actually really good. So good that when I tried the lower 3600 rpm launch control it just kept bogging down the engine. Instead I had to play around with manual launches. Stamping on the gas but not too much too soon. I've still not figured out the best way to launch my own car.
One time when I tried just launching from idle I ended up with a 2.6 second 60ft and 13.0 seconds. Felt fast as I crossed the line at 117 but a 60ft like that destroys the ET. Where as the 12.3 was with a 2.2 sec 60ft. Only a 0.4 second difference!

Good to see you guys. Personally it was bloody frustrating..only good thing to come out of it was the sub 2.0 second 60 which I then managed to fuck up. Will be checking the logs later.
Imy went crazy at the end of the day...surprised he did get giddy

Yep and that was with a 2hr track closure in the middle when they decided to let all the staff go to lunch at the same time, and then let the dragsters run.

Last 30mins was brilliant I had the track to myself! Just kept going round and round

Did you run a Trebila flash at the track yet Cal? How'd it go?

Well it was awesome. Finally 9 months after doing the last couple of hardware changes (inlets and stage 2 low pressure fuel pump back in January) I got some good launches and achieved the times I felt the car was capable of. Although I did set the 120 trap speeds even before inlets I believe the turbos were worked harder back then with higher PWM values.

The printer broke at the track but they let us take screen shots of their timing software. In the 11's twice! I'd almost given up hope.

(First run through me into map 4 as the meth didn't flow. Had to prime the system to get some air bubbles out).

My wife got it on her phone as well

The shock in Harvey's voice is quite funny.

Congrats Jack. You got there.

I need to get the car sorted properly before I can get consistent 12's lol.

I was down at Crail for the German car day and took my little M235i on the strip.

I beat a guy in his E91 335d with a 420bhp Ecotune. I comfortably beat an E46 M3 with a remap and a CSL airbox.

I was up against a new Audi RS3 and he didn't make the best 4WD start. He was on my tail, but never even made any ground at all, I was probably moving a few inches away at higher speeds.

I was struggling a bit for grip, it is Crail, but was doing 2.23/2.3sec 60ft times. My first launch was 2.6 seconds as I had forgotten how bad the grip was and gave it too much.

I did manage to make a much better start later on and clocked a 2.12, but I didn't improve my time as much as it should have. Somehow .11 at 60ft was .08 by the end, so I must have changed a little early or the car was a bit hot or something.

I managed 13.20@ 110mph. It'll go into the 12s with a better start. Not bad for a standard car.
