02 sensors needed?

The winter tore out my 02 sensors and connectors on my 2006 325i , I was quoted 1000 for it to be fixed.

Is it worth it?

Would a tune bypass it?

If you drove in deep snow and broke wiring for one or more of your 4 O2 Sensors (ones "Post-Cat" are lowest, and Connectors are below Transmission) YOU can repair that yourself. You will NOT pass emissions inspection (done correctly ;-) without proper repair of wiring. Sensors themselves are PROBABLY NOT damaged.

If you want to try DIY, post:
1) your Last-7 Characters of VIN, &
2) DME Fault Codes read (Advance Auto/ AutoZone for FREE reading)
and we can provide ISTA diagrams & repair suggestions.

I was told my connectors and sensors were dragging on the road and snow after they broke, but I didn't know because my car is lowered and never looked under it, they noticed it when they took it up to align my car. They said something about the resistance between the wires to the connectors might be an issue, as to why its 1000 for new OEM parts plus labor. Michigan doesn't really in force emissions, I'm just worried if it will damage my engine if I dont fix them. Ill head to AutoZone and get those codes sometime this week.
