Me too - The bright side is that I have something to do tomorrow I hope this won't take forever to do. I challenged myself and bought the pinout (no I actually was just being cheap ). So this should be interesting to install.

I've read the instructions twice and watched the video on Youtube 3 times. I anticipate no prob. installing it. If I run into some prob., I'll just call you since you don't live too far from me. JK

Good luck with the install...I was apprehensive at first, but I just followed along with the video tutorial ... it was a breeze with no issues.

Cheers,

That's weird how you did not feel the difference right away. I am now not so excited about installing it. What map did you start off with? Map 3? How many miles did you put before the ECU recognized the JB3?

He's an auto probably. I dont think the 6spd takes much in the way of adaptation, I could be wrong though.

And IMO, start with Map 1. You can always go higher. I dont think JB recommends much more then map 3, especially up here. Besides, you really want the wife driving with THAT much power?

Don't start out with map 3, that's what I was using and was pushing 18psi. its just too agressive at our altitude. Email Terry and get some good settings for you to put in for map 1...did you get the cable?

Happened to me as well except I was home and the f&$%er never rang the door bell. I told the district manager this after I found the card saying he apparently "missed me" an hour before the post office closed. Got my PBX at the office and apparently my area's mail man was fired. Guess I wasn't the only one he was too lazy to go to the door for.

I keep getting mixed information about this. I've had people saying I could start out with map 3, then some say I should start out with map 3...How long should I be in map 1 for? then how long should I be in map 2 before I can switch to map 3? Yes, I got the USB cable

At our altitude, I wouldn't even use map 3 at all, unless you are getting IC and catless DP's...and even then I probably would just log and have Terry give you some values to use for Map 1. I was fully adapted, and still hitting 18psi on Map 3. All the standard maps are made for sea level, and don't play too well up here. Even ask the V3 guys, I don't think any of them are running a standard map.

I can email you what Terry told me to start out with on Map 1 if you like? Will give you a good starting point.

I would listen to Craig on this one Alfred. Stock you dont want to push more then 13 or so psi, even with DCI. Map 1 will be more then strong enough for you, and then when you go to Mfest with us next year, you can run map 3 in Vegas

Its not about starting at a map and being able to move up later, you can only do that if you get the proper supporting mods that will help that airflow better/cooler.

I was pushing 14.5 psi with just DCI for well over 8 months without any problems. I'm pretty sure M(forza) and C(racey) had pushed beyond 13psi stock or with air filters.

Remember the guy you brought the BT cable from? He ran map 7 all day every day in his 335.

Craig - That would be good. Can you PM me with it? I don't have the USB Cable yet. It'll be here on Monday.

Just got an e-mail from Terry. This is what he said:
"No need for map 1. Use map 3 to start, then try map 5, and go with
what feels best."
