N55 e92 - Vanos

Hi all.

Just got the following codes:

DME Active codes:
2C58 - Charging pressure control: switch-off as consequential reaction.
2D5A - VANOS intake: Control fault, camshaft stuck.

DME Shadow codes:
2DAE VANOS, inlet, collective fault: electrical or mechanical.
2DAF - VANOS: Multiple fault.

If it matters, my car is a 2011 E92 N55, Stage 2+ on an e30 mix.
Mods:
- 5" stepped intercooler
- Upgraded metal charge pipe
- BMS Intake
- Turbosmart Dual port Diverter Valve
- Catless DP's

I haven't driven my car much over the past few months due to COVID. I've driven maybe around once to twice a week.

I wasn't doing a WOT pull or anything. The car was idling in my driveway and as I went to leave it got these codes and limp mode was activated.

I cleared the codes twice and it continued to pop up a few minutes after.

Has anyone else had these codes? I've been told to clean my Vanos solenoids so I'll do that tomorrow but if this persists what would be the reason?

Thanks. [IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG]

Sounds like your Vanos solenoids. Just recently had this issue as well. You can try to take them and clean them (there videos on YouTube) and it will usually fix it. but it's honestly easier to just replace them just in case. Lmk how it goes! Best wishes.
