I'm still driving on my winter tires (sold my OEM runflats last winter and now waiting till Alfufelgens become available) I drive less than 50 miles on average per week. But I'm planning a trip down to Virgina beach tomorrow. I'll be putting close to $1200 mile round trip.

I'm not sure if it would be a good idea to take the bimmer (with snow tires). I'm seriously considering getting a rental (boring..). Anyone been in this situation before?

well... your car isn't gonna go blow up, but I don't recommend driving for that long distance on snows. The weather is only gonna be warmer down there. Over here it's still in the 30s with the wind chill so it's not too bad. The rubber will break down noticeably faster as you drive it in the warm weather. That being said, you won't get a flat, but you'll definitely wear down your snow tires.

I am running Continental extreme contact DWS'. Those handle like a champ in the snow and are supposedly an all weather tire. When it comes to traction I have been very surprised at how well they hold despite not being a true sport tire. If you are looking for some excellent all around tires those have been treating me very well.

Oh also, I drove on them from Columbus to central NC when they were still pretty new. Now problems that I could see with pressure, traction, etc. On a side note the temp when i left NC was 75 and it was sunny, by the time I got back to Cbus it was upper 20's and there was 1-2 inches of snow on the road. They handled it all in stride.

Damn, that sucks... I'd be pissed. I just got my car back yesterday from the body shop. They fixed some damage caused by a fender bender when someone ran into me from behind a couple months ago.

If it is just scuffed up I should be able to get it out, but if you can feel the scratches with your nail, time for repaint.

+1, switched to these this past winter and run them on my stock wheels, got the tires (with 100 miles on them), and had them mounted and balanced for $300.

I cant feel it when I ran my finger over it. cleaned it up a bit with some turtle wax scratch and swirl remover. sadly the half a dozen white lines still exist. thinking it might need a buffing wheel instead of my elbow grease. My next car is going to be white I think... lol

I feel like we get a week of cold rainy weather, then one amazing day (a tease) then back to the crap again!

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and was wondering if any of you fellow Ohioans had any input as to the better places to look for and buy BMW's in the area.

Thanks in advance for the help!

I haven't had any issues with the service department at MAG... dunno how their sales department is, but I'd be surprised if they weren't good either.

I'm looking for a 2007-2009 E90 with an AT and AWD. I'd love for it to have the brushed aluminum trim or anything not wood really. Navigation would be great but not necessary. I'd prefer black, white or blue exterior, NO silver.

My price range is 24-28K. Since I'm in Columbus, i'm willing to go Dayton, Cicncy, Cleveland, Indy, Pittsburg, and KY. Chicago is too far I've decided.

Thanks for the input on the dealers in OH too!

Welcome to the forum.
Had good luck with both of my purchases, one at BMW Cleveland (Solon) and the other at Ganley BMW (Middleburgh Heights) both suburbs of Cleveland. Also, My youngest son had a good experience with Yark BMW in Toledo. BMW Cleveland and Yark seem to have larger inventories.

You might try BMW North America web sight, click on Certified Pre-owned, click on model search, and fill in the blanks.

www.bmwusa.com

Good Luck with the search
