Pre LCI M sport

Recently picked up a Jet Black 2009 E93 with the M-sport package. The rear bumper has been changed at some point to non M style. I'm replacing it with an M-sport as it should be. My question is: Is the trim piece and diffuser plain from the factory? Or is it painted some sort of satin / flat?

From what I've seen, the diffuser portion tends to have a satin/flat finish to it. Both, mine and my friends, are like that.

Yeah....it's not painted....just grey plastic finish.
