+1

Just wanna make sure not to upset the neighbors with too many cars. And definitely no retarded driving or overt loudness allowed. There are homeowner's association rules in effect, and there are kids that play in the street sometimes.

Although it's a small little mini-community and parking may be limited near the house, there is plenty of parking up on the main road where there is little traffic. We can rotate cars as things are installed.

Also, as I'm thinking about it, if anyone wants to bring their favorite beef or dogs, we can BBQ.

eric, can you pm me or post your addy or direction?

i "MIGHT" be able to bring my mechanic friend which will help to install and give you guys some advice on it, although i don't really see much problem installing JB3 or DCI, he might be helpful. He has sick evo as well but if he comes, i'll probably pick him up and come in one car due to limited space...

I'll PM/text everyone with directions soon.

We should get a finalized list with all the attendees and anything they're bringing (tools, food, drink, etc).

You coming? Bring some CA weather with you!

So I PM'd the directions to everyone on the list. If I missed anyone who wants to come that wasn't on the list, let me know.

^ I duno about doing a tune just a few days before going in for service. I still have yet to receive my revII, but I do have my dual cones that could be installed on Sunday. What time are we meeting? I might flake because of work, Sundays are normally quiet though.

+1 Definitely wait on the tune, but I don't see a DCI being an issue for regular maintenance and a rattle fix. But you never know, better safe than sorry, I guess. A lot would depend on the quality of the relationship between you and your SA.

You guys are welcome to start showing up 10am or later for Sunday. I figure the earlier the better so we have more daylight.

It would still be cool to get a finalized list with what everyone is bringing...

When/where is this going down again? I'd love to get a chance to come out to a local meet. I haven't gotten a chance to go to one yet

I've got down on the calendar, but I don't know if:
1.) I have the desire to tackle installing the BBK and brake lines.
2.) There is enough space and time available with everyone else's project.

It's a "all 4 wheels off" kind of project, since all the calipers will need to be bled. I may just have a shop like Group 2 do it, even though it is estimated at $300 to $350 (with a full fluid flush.) Otherwise, I need to drop anywhere from $65 to $100 for additional tools and Motul RBF600......

But if everyone REALLY wants to go hands on with a BBK install, I could probably be persuaded....

Eric, hit me up with directions. Like I said, I've got it down on the calendar, so I may show up, regardless of actually wrenching on my car or not.

This would be cool to tackle that day (and I really wanna see it done!). Although the only place to jack would be in the garage, I think the only installs requiring the jack are Cesar's LUX 5.0 and Joe's and Peter's alarms. I think those installs would be fairly quick, so you could have the bulk of the time with the jack/stands/ramps.

The only hitch would be ensuring we can get all fours up. I only have two ramps and two stands. Anyone got an extra pair of jack stands?

I've got 4 jack stands and 4 ramps (2 sets of two.) I've got a creeper and a floor jack, although my jack won't fit under the cars. I also have a compressor and some air tools (grinding/cutting of the dust shield is required to install the BBK.)

I would want to pick up a Motive Products Power Bleeder and some Motul RBF600. I can do that tomorrow from a shop in Kirkland.

I guess I better get cracking on putting the tools and supplies together....

Alright, I ordered the Power Bleeder for pickup on Friday, plus the Motul fluid. I guess I'm committed now. Or is that I should BE committed? I'm not sure.....

The alarm install only requires the removal of one wheel, we can do that on any level pavement. And that's just only to connect the horn up, everything is is pretty straightfoward.

I'll bring the torque wrench, shoplight and the other stuff I said. I'll bring the sodie pop drinks for everyone else there. You got a cooler Eric since I won't have room to fit mines if I bring all the tools.

Nice! Really looking forward to this.

Yes, we can BBQ. If anyone can bring hamburger meat and/or hot dogs we can grill em. I'm gonna pick up a few things at Costco as well.
