A lot of people advertise 40W as 2x20W, so that is the same as whatever everyone is using in this thread.
"Package Includes
●2x 20W bulb"

I've tried both 2x20W and 2x32W before and they were as bright as my current LUX v3's but the color output is the exact same colour as sunlight so it looks dimmer in the sun. LUX V3's are slightly more blue, but the slight color difference makes a huge difference when in the sun.

Thanks, in my 07 e90, I definitely had to remove the mentioned metal bracket with the glass window, there's no way anything but the halogen would have fit. Maybe its different in the e92? I was more worried about the other metal bracket that the first one sat in. Had to remove that too and now it sits against plastic. Just worried about it melting. Anyone with an e90 have to remove the metal brackets to get their AEs installed?

Any of you guys have more pictures of your pre-lci e90 with these bulbs? Although this thread was started by a guy with a pre-lci e90, the e92 guys seem to have taken over as usual. I want to make sure these are a viable alternative to the Mtec v4s I was considering. Thanks for sharing about these! This could wind up saving me quite a few bucks.

I'm on my way out soon for dinner so I'll snap a couple before I head out and try and upload them from my phone if the new app update allows you to

Just a warning to all the potential buyers out there, what you see online is totally different from what you will see in person. Most cameras (especially phone cameras) will make even the super dim outer circle look super bright.

Now, I bought a pair of 32W cree LED yesterday and the outer rings are slightly brighter but the inner ring became so bright that it makes the outer ring look just as dim as before. Compared to my friend's LUX V3 H8 bulbs, my inner rings are WAY brighter but the outer rings on the LUX is more evenly distributed so they are more visible in the sun. These 32W Cree LED are much closer to the LUX compared to the 20W Cree in terms of color and brightness compared. These are actually PURE WHITE like the LUX and not WHITE-WITH-HINT-OF-BLUE.

Either way, for E92 owners, what you see on the internet with the "WHITE LED" angel eyes upgrade will be FAR from what you will see in person. You will be disappointed no matter which ones you get. IMO, only way to feel satisfied is to get custom headlights work done. (On e90's, pretty much any LED will light the outer ring up.)

Cost of the bulbs in CAD:
Set #1 (20w cree per bulb, ebay - dark and curved heatsink base) = $55
Set #2 (20w cree per bulb, ebay - brighter metallic color cylinder-shaped heatsink base) = $50
Set #3 (20w cree per bulb, bought locally, looks like set #2 but just larger) = $70

Set #4 (32w cree per bulb, bought locally, mega huge heatsink) = $110
Had a Set #5 that went for like $30 per pair, rated 10w per bulb, that was way too dim, not even worth mentioning about it.

Sold all of them locally, so didn't lose much money. But i am still disappointed in all of these plug and play LED bulbs.

Like I said, even with these 32W Cree LEDs, the outer circle is still really dim especially in the sun.

Even when they are so dim, this is what my camera captures: (The brightness of the outer ring would be maybe ~30% of what you see below)

Looking through an old post. Does that means the E90 is easier to light up the outer rings compared to the E92?

Just trying to understand that comment because I have an E90 and want to get the LED.

no. the LCI E90 and E92 are pretty much identical with the issues surrounding the outer ring issues.

I don't remember even though I recently did a friends 2 months ago but I remember we put both in both slots and nothing blew, shouldn't have a problem with anything blowing if you accidentally but a negative in a positive port. Maybe some posts clarify in this thread somewhere? My vote is just to just try one and if it doesn't work try the other, just keep the light switch off, plug it in, turn on: if it does t light up, switch to off switch brown/red, then turn on again

Not the black housing but the black bracket that the bulb sits in that the metal bracket sits in.

Also do you guys the screws that come with the angel eyes? They seem different and I'm having trouble screwing the light back in. It's pretty lose

edit: So I got it installed. I had to use the electrical tape to get the wires together. The plugs didn't really clip in and fell out rather easy so I instead of just leaving and hoping it won't fall out I taped it up.

Took me almost 3 hours but it was worth it.

The car threw a light code the other day and I had to opened it up and made sure all the connections are right. The left light was out so when I switch it around it was working again until today while coming from work the car kept throwing a code and beeping every 5 mins with the light error on the dash. Both lights are lit up so not sure what's wrong here. Any one else have error codes installing these?
