I get my check for the $22,500 today, while still retaining the car. So it will be official in 2 hours.

What insurance company does the woman that hit you have? I'm going to go find someone with that same company and make them hit me.

So you got $22k and you're trying to get $16 for the salvaged car. If you get the $16k, that means you got $38 for your '07 335i sedan with over 50k miles. I want total my car too!!!

I just don't understand how they didn't salvage the car, give it to me, and still give me $22,500. Whatever, I guess something good is coming out of this. If you guys know anyone who wants to buy this, let me know.

You might want to check with the insurance. I think you got the $22.5 and that's all. The car is salvaged and insurance gets to keep it.

The insurance company doesn't issue salvage titles. That state does. It will show it on the carfax that significant damage occurred.

I would like to see you try and use it as a trade in on your next bimmer!

SID, that's a great idea. I should talk to the bimmer dealership today lol

This might go down as one of the best deals in American history, just slightly behind the Louisiana Purchase. Thank you Auto Owners Insurance Co.

I thought you had an offer of $16k?
I'd sell it at $10k before he changes his mind. Even at $10k, that's still a good deal overall.
