getting to jersey from the middle of long island is just as painful...i say we just do two seperate ones as suggested and stick to the original jones beach on may 6/7.

I agree with you 100%. The ride is brutal any way you have a go at it.

I wish we could have this huge meet, but I think 2 seperate ones is the way to go. Also on different days, just in case some people want to attend both.

Please dont turn the thread into different directions....

I know that Orig. there were going to be about 35 members who wanted to go to the Jones Beach meet and did not because of the rain....

So If we can at least get the same people to go plus anyone else who wants to go we will have a great time.....

I think that if some people cant get there because of the long drive maybe we can set up another meet 1 or 2 weekends later and anyone who wants to go to that one can go to...I hope you dont take it the wrong way.....I just dont wa7nt to start a debate....

Lets stay focused...

I think the 7th is the way to go. Jones beach also sounds good to me, and I am in connecticut. People that are in NJ, or NY, or CT, or PA should go; Even if it is a drive! Make a day out of it, or even a weekend. You will be sort of near the city, so there is always something to do.

I think the more people, the better.

but,

another good spot to meet would be somewhere in westchester, this way both the NJ and NYC/Long Island crew have to cross bridges and its easy for CT drivers.... i know the hutch and merit pky are pretty sweet with a maneuverable car (my porsche loves those twisties). and there are plenty of open roads with decent scenery north of white plains (taconic pky north) (route 22 north)..... just a thought
