Shaun, So you installed 3pin LCI mirrors on your pré LCI car and your car was originally
Equiped with 5pin folding PRE LCI mirrors? Or have you installed M3 ones?
Best regards

I desperately need your help!

My passenger mirror just stopped working. I folded the mirrors, and when I tried to open them, only the left mirror did. Also, I lost the electric function from the "joystick", but it does tilt when I put it in reverse! It also still dims when light hits the rear view mirror.

Today I got a diagnostic check from BMW and they said that it needs a new mirror, because there is an electric signal reaching the mirror, but it does nothing.

It's an e92 LCI with electric, dimming, heated and foldable mirror. No electric seats. It's got the tilt function when you put it in reverse.

I've got two question.

- Is my mirror a 3 or 5 pin?
-If I buy a 3 pin mirror, with everything like mine, except for the dimming function, and if I just install the glass from my old mirror, will it dim?

Regards!

UPDATE: I have now established that I have a 3 pin mirror. My only question is, if I buy a mirror which is a 3 pin, with heating, memory, electric and power folding, but with no dimming glass, will I be able to install my dimming glass (I know it fits) and will it dim?

Sorry to jump in but kind of related. I have the 313 Exterior Mirror Package. The passenger mirror dips in reverse and you can fold the mirrors using the button on the drivers seat. You can't fold the mirrors with the key fob and I'm told (by BMW) this can not be coded on my car, but I'm not sure if I believe that.

Hi

I have an E90 2011 LCI. No folding or dimming feature.
The driver's mirror got side swiped in the car park so Im looking to goto the wreckers to find a used mirror. If i get the one with the exact part number is it a simple plug and play (as in no coding required)?

Thanks

Instruction no - but essentially you need the door harness.
