I love the fact the Ohlins coilover kits come w a dust boot cover to protect the damper shafts and pistons from dirt and debris..Other coilovers including my ASTs do not have this.

I noticed the dust boot too, not to mention how great it looks (not better than yours though tibra1, I love the looks of the AST gear).

It seems like a dust boot would be real nice to have, but I'm a newb at this stuff...

I had asked about getting this boot cover for my AST/Swift setup but it was explained to me the space between the spring and the shaft would not allow for this..after seeing the ASTs in person I have to agree..the dust boot would most likey just get ripped as the damper compresses and rebounds..

Ohlins are kick-ass.

I don't think it would matter much anyway...TCK DA's have been on my car for years without any issues.
Makes sense..thats actually what I was worried about is protect the piston valve from dirt and debris..but after asking around it doesnt seem to be an issue

I was a product manager for a cylinder manufacturer and we never recommended dust boots.
Unless you clean them often, they will actually trap dirt and prematurely wear the piston and rod end seal. The dust boots "breath" with small holes in them. The dust and dirt migrate in, but it's very difficult to get out.

Oh hell yeah. Ohlins is huge in the motorcycle world. Now the question is can I finally have coilovers without have to lower my car?

I wanted to bring this to the top. Very nice indeed.

So many options.
Cheap = get the job done.
But pricey = hella ride!
