Hi Everyone,

My Service Engine Soon light for my 2013 E92 N51 came on and when I scanned the codes with my Schwaben, I got the following:

2D06/not present: DME: Air-mass system
2D15/not present: DME: Air-mass sensor, measurement range
2A00/present: DME: Secondary air system

Another code that might be relevant is:

A559/not present: Instrument cluster: Power supply has been switched off (closed-circuit current cutoff relay)

After searching online, it seems like I may need a new MAF, or clean the MAF and its connectors. However, as I did not see a post with all three of these costs appearing together, I was wondering if anyone had any further insights and/or recommendations as to what I should do.

I have cleared the codes and drove approximately 8 miles (4 miles each way). The SES light has not come back on.

A559 seems to indicate my battery is dying so I am wondering if the MAF fault codes may also be due to a dying battery? If so, should I change the battery before doing anything else?

Is your N51 covered under the 150,000 mile 15 year SULEV warranty?

It should be but I don't have it registered in a SULEV state so I think the warranty unfortunately won't apply

Any idea what I am looking at here though?

My wife's N52 powered 128i reports the same issue with the MAF. I cleaned the MAF and connectors, and after a few weeks the code is back. I will replace the MAF.

Ohh, the exact same codes showed up? Or just a few of them?

Let me know if replacing the MAF solves it...

Could an incorrectly installed or dislodged air intake filter cause such codes?
