they all go under the car, and you can't see them

if it sounds good and is half the price why you'd pay more

Does anyone remember what dyno'd gains were from the Eisenmann FULL catback? I don't remember.

I do expect similar gains from this exhaust.
I do expect it to sound good.
I know it looks good.

I'm more concerned about the build quality..lets face it..an exhaust is not really the bottleneck in these cars..I've already accepted the fact that i'm changing out my exhaust purely for sound and looks alone, thats why I wanna buy a QUALITY piece and not just some cheap shit-ass pacesetter muffler system look-alike

agreed that the gains from intake and exhaust mods are of much more value to the butt dyno and the ear than actually adding performance

Ward, eisenmann has raised the bench high....and BTW lets set things straight, there is a maximum of maybe 10-12 hp from getting a catback exhasut, there is more hidden HP in the headers more than the whole exhaust system, they designed the headers to be quiet and enviromentally friendly with some performance in mind....So whether or not the bastuck has the MORE than the eisenmann is not really credible, now if it had the Same increase that i would beleive, but noone has dynoed an eisenmann full CB.. Although my thoughts are not concrete i could be wrong

(i beleive in the e90, there are cats in the headers)

There are cats in the headers. They are the PRIMARY cats.

I don't think anyone has claimed the Bastuck will have greater gains than an Eisenmann full catback, I did say I beleive they will be similar.

Also, 10-12 hp from a catback is a bit high. You MAY see these kinds of increase from a catback if you've already installed a HIGH quality intake, or maybe your car is chipped.

In these cases, it's the combination of the two/three that makes the gain.

For illustration:

I had a civic SI. AEM made an intake that they claimed could gain UP TO 17 hp, with Dyno graphs to back it up.

I installed this intake, and gained 2 hp.

I interrogated AEM on this, and they said, "well did you have a catback?" I did not. They informed me that every car they do R&D on has a full catback, and they gained 17hp when they installed their intake, on a car with a full catback.

So I installed a catback on my Civic.

I then gained an additional 19hp.

I took the intake off and I LOST 14hp.

see what I mean about the combination of items?

ohh, yea now i get it..i remember technik also saying if you got their chip with their intake you will see a greater increase because it was tuned with it..nice post:rocks:

BTW: i know this is off topic, but my friend just got an e60 m5(i know, sort of jealous but im happy with my e90) and he wants to know how to break his car in, should he follow the dealer with a careful breakin or do as i was told and as i told him, which was to drive it fairly hard to settle his rings properly...

The Kerscher kit looks like shit? Many members would vote Kerscher for the best front bumper so far. About the exhaust...it's built with great material, sound good and especially for the quad, the smoke comes out equally from the both left and right sides, not like Eisenmann in which the smoke comes out alot from left side and a little (almost nothing) from right side. I don't mean the Eisenmann is not good. In fact, it's one of the best. However, the quad design is not that great imo.

BTW, with the price on Bastuck system (less than a half of Eisenmann system price) with full catback shipped to my door, I'd take the Bastuck any day.

See? Pretender has the Kerscher branded quad system, and he's completely satisfied.

While the Bastuck branded system IS a different system, it's built in the same facility by the same people. I don't see why it should not be awesome.

Who is not? I love the feeling that when I start the engine every morning and the alarm from my neighbor's van goes off. The deep tone sound vibrated thru my back at 1500-2000rpm makes me feel good too. The appearance of the quad is great with Kerscher rear apron. I'd bet you will love the way your car looks more and more every day with this exhaust system.
