Here's my KW v1 on my E91 xi. The KW had instructions that specified the adjuster goes on top. The coil fits into the rubber in the control arm, and the top of the adjuster goes in the hole where the 'tin cap' was.

Don't you feel a big gap between the spring perch and the car chassis?

I've tried to do this on my V1's but is doesn't feel safe becase of this gap.

I've not removed the top cup yet. If I remove it, the gap will be obviously bigger.

You need to remove the cup!! It has a boss that goes into a hole in the chassis. The top perch has a similar boss that engages the chassis. Just follow the video and instructions in the kit.

A boss? Can you show me a picture?

So the perch doesn't fit directly in the chassis hole?

I don't have the instructions..

Cant really say since I Dont have my coils install yet. But my Indy also said top and follow the instructions on the manual
