N53 won't hold revs whilst car is stationary and throttle applied - is this normal?

Hi,

I recently purchaed a BMW E92 325i (2011) with the N53 engine.

When the car starts up, the idling is fine, not erratic or jerky, however I have noticed that, when in park, if I try to hold the engine revs at, for example 1000rpm, the power is erratic and won't maintain a consistent speed.

I have created a video to show the issue:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iOhXdsccWYk

Again, this is ONLY when attempting using the throttle to hold the engine revs, and NOT when idling with no throttle.

Is this normal behaviour, or do I have an issue?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Luke.

Normal for any throttle-by-wire car. The computer is over-riding your right foot because it doesn't understand any reason to hold the revs at 1k in park.
