Well, I finally took the time to watch the Senna documentary. Interesting juxtaposition between Senna. Prost and Balestre. Colourful characters and drama. A crying shame to have lost him.

I hear you. Made me very angry as hell. Technically they should have cancelled the race to investigate Ratzenberger's death per Italian penal code requirements. Big business ... hmph!

I just got my car back from Built-by-Seb. Job at first glance is awesome. So much attention to detail. He's an artist that's for sure.

pictures don't do it justice.

driving the car is very different... I am sitting a little lower. When strapped in, I really feel that I am one with the car. Like a go-kart. I am looking forward to next year.

Sebastien is great, very knowledgeable. Whoever has met him in person or had the priviledge of having a cage done or a proper race car would agree.

Hats off to him. He went "mental" on the details.

I've never done anything even remotely like this work with him, but what work he has done on my cars has been beyond reproach.

I have been reading up on it! Sport is stiffer yes, but its setting is static, hence predictable.

The normal and comfort mode are the ones that have the setting continuously vary, depending on the road surface.
Actually ken...
As of 2011.5 model year when the competition package came out on the E9X M3 the sport also became adaptive.

Similar to the magnetic ride on the corvettes.

Adaptive is said to be better since you don't want it to be super stuff on a bumpy section.

I put it in sport setting on the track and comfort on the street.

Works miracles! I could not drink a coffee in my old M3 and my new M3 is amazing in comfort mode.

Lol Tony... Guess you won't be driving it in the city much with that drivers seat blocking your peripheral vision.

Other than that... Looks great!

Thanks for the info, adaptive suspension sounds nice to have.

The corvette magnetreological shocks are considered better, they can vary instantly the liquid viscosity through electric current being so quick, whereas the BMW while also electronic has to use a valve to vary the size of the opening and allegedly it is not as instant. Anyhow both systems are great for most of us.

Thanks. Very happy how it turned out.

Oh and about that peripheral vision thing. Car is so short, practically irrelevant.
