I can still recite my alphabet, sadly, so getting the BMW branded LL04 oil just gives me that extra peace of mind. As soon as I get the deletes I'll absolutely use T6. Everyone speaks so highly of it.

Great oil for TDI was Total Ineo Long Life 507. If mine were still literate, i'd have no reservations running in the 335d. Reasonably priced and used in europe extensively

I have it on good authority that IDParts is going to be offering more stuff for our cars coming soon. Just in case anyone is perusing this thread and looking for a good place to shop. They always sent me quality stuff for my Jetta TDI, and their $5 shipping is pretty nice.

There is probable confusion over the filter element vs the assembly. Not even my dealership knew thendifference

I'll probably update the charts now that IdParts is adding some more things and trying to lower their prices for parts for these cars

Do most people on here go with Castrol for their oil changes? I'm on IDparts and looking into buying the kit but can't decide between Liqui Moly, Pentosin, and of course oem Castrol.

Can't go wrong with any of those, including Ineo Total...probably my favorite from TDI days

You can add this to the transmission fluid change kit. I think it's probably the best price

Just gonna throw a plug in for IDParts. I'm not affiliated with them at all, but they have really been killing it with their selection for our cars. Just in the past few months they've been consistently adding, and I'm sure there's more to come. Pricing is extremely competitive too.

Just wanted to contribute - I bought this kit for my X5D and it turned out to be the ZF filter kit with a full set of screws... $230 no shipping no tax. (no sealing sleeve either)

Is there a suggested maintenance interval chart to go along with this? Would be a great adder to this thread.

Basically something like every 10k miles do X, at specific intervals do Y, etc.

There's an extension for that. I don't have problems with broken photobucket links anymore. Also, way to revive a thread.

I installed the "Photobucket Embedded Image Fix" extension for Chrome and the pictures were restored.

Car is full stock with emissions. i just go to my local BMW dealer to get my oil changes. 89.99 for the oil changes and a free car wash, minus my 15% service coupons that I have. It's cheaper than me doing it myself or having an indy shop doing it.
