Exclamation e90 summer rim advice

Want to get a set of 19in rims with 19x8.5 in the front and 19x10 in the back. I wanted to run michelin super sports but don't know what recommended specs I should consider for the tire and the rim off set. My e90 is lci on msport suspension. I don't plan on lowering the car any lower. Any Advice?

If you switch to 19 inch rims, you’re going with thinner tires (side wall wise) which means the ride is going to be a little harsher compared to 17 or 18 inch so if you go over any bumps, potholes, rough pavement etc., you’re going to feel it more. But if you’re ok with that, then go for it. If your E90 has staggered wheels, whether 17 inch or 18 inch, the OEM stock offset for the front should be 34mm and the rear 37mm. If non-staggered wheels, the stock offset for both the front and rear are 34mm (17 and 18 inch rims). Someone correct me if I’m wrong.

There are other different offsets that will still fit, depending on the rim. You can find various offsets on other rims that will fit on sites like Tire Rack.
As for Michelin PSSs, they have been replaced with the new Pilot Sport 4S. On my 2010 E92 335i, I used 2 sets of PSSs and then switched to the new 4S last year. They are much more improved in ride and handling over the PSSs and I will use them again when it’s time for a new set.

Idk you need a rim wider than 9" to be honest. A 9" rim can hold a tire that's 265 wide. That's about the max you can go in the rear, unless you had an M3.

19" rims means profiles of 35 & 30, for the most part. That translates into not a whole lot of rubber between the road & the rim. If you live in a state that has crappy roads (pot holes & rough roads) stay away from 19" rims, or you will be sorry 😐

If you live in a southern state or a state that doesn't use salt on the roads in the winter, 19" rims will probably work.

Last, 19" rims = expensive tires that don't last a lot time.... FYI...
