I just replaced my Continental DWS 06's for Michelin PSS's and I underestimated how much meatier and square the PSS's are. I'm now getting a ton of rubbing on dips.

I have M3 Front control arms and the front struts are currently set at the most positive camber setting (pushed all the way out). I'm going to take it in for an alignment and have them push the struts all the way in and remove the alignment pin which should give me -1.2-1.5 * front Camber. I'm also going to have them set the rear camber to -2.5*.

Will stock toe settings be okay with this camber or will I chew through the PSS's? I have a square setup and these tires are not directional so I will be able to rotate and mitigate some of the inner wear.

Here is my last alignment sheet if interested.

Word...go with as much camber as you can get up front.

Don't do -2.5 out back...that's completely pointless.

With respect to toe, if you aren't "chewing through" tires with the current toe settings, you won't with the new camber specs either (after getting toe where you need it after the fact, that is).

I would reduce the front toe to around 0.10 to 0.20 degrees total.

And agree about the rear camber, -2.0 is more than enough. If you want to dial out the understeer a bit, increasing rear camber will negate that. You will unlikely be able to get that much camber anyways unless you have adjustable toe arms, as you will run out of toe adjustment.

I run -2.2 or so in the rear, and I adjust it by setting the toe adjusters as far as they go, and then reduce camber till toe comes into spec. I can not get more camber than that with the stock arms. But I am running more than -2.0 in the front, so it is well balanced at that spec.

Sounds good, thanks for the input. I wanted go to -2.5* out back to help with rubbing but it sounds like it will make the car less balanced. Time to go buy a fender roller!

what specs (j/et/tire size) are you running in the front?

18x9ET31 Square with 255/35 tires and 5mm rear spacer.

It will rub on the front where bumper meet fender. You need -2.5 or more to avoid that.

It is looking that way with the Pilot Super Sports, these things are crazy meaty. My old Continental DWS06s had zero rubbing even on big dips.

Did some investigation into the rubbing in front. Looks to be coming from three different areas:

1. Where bumper mounts to the fender. I used a Dremel and trimmed it back a bit
2. The actual fender. There is evidence of slight rubbing, likely need to get this rolled.
3. The plastic piece of the bumper. I also trimmed this back.

After trimming back areas 1 and 3, and also using heat gun and pushing the fender liner out I'm only getting slight rubbing on front right with big dips. Adding camber this week and should be pretty solid after that. Will roll all four fenders if camber doesn't 100% solve.
