If anyone's interested in my old heel plate or dead pedal feel free to pm. It's iS specific so I won't make a fs thread plus the clutch pedal is a little worse for wear

Attachment 2638774
Could you do me a really obscure favor and measure the distance from the left edge of your gas pedal to the right edge of the brake? I got the 6MT brake pedal pad (stock, stainless steel inlay) for my brake pedal and need to cut it to size. I'm pretty sure I just have to cut off the left edge of the brake but want to be positive.

Going off my arm dyno, yes. The shipping weight was 11 lbs.

Wait, what? I'm so confused, what do the stock pedal covers have to do with pedalhaus pedals and why would you need to cut the stock covers?

Oh I just want my DCT brake pedal to be the size of a manual brake pedal. Like the SMG e46 M3 had:

There's absolutely no logical reason for this just my obscure personal preference.

Ok I get you now, so honestly I am going to put back in my sprint booster pedal tuner and will take the pedalhaus gas pedal off so I don't scratch it (maybe tomorrow or something, been sitting around for a week so guess I have a reason to tomorrow now). It's like maybe .25-.5" extended to the left in size from what the stock one is. You want stock measurement or you running upgraded pedals also like on your e46?

Yes, measurement from the stock gas pedal to the brake pedal. If it's the same as my DCT pedal set then that means I cut from the left side of the brake pedal to fit the smaller pedal pad

I bought this part (stock 335is brake/clutch pedal pad):

I could potentially just measure my e30 or e39 since they're a standard 3-pedal manual but I've gotten paranoid about doing it perfectly and I don't have a 3-pedal e92 to measure ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Pretty tough to measure with gas pedal angle..

That one really was closer to like 2.6-2.8ish. Then it gets up to like 3"-3.25" at the top something like that

Perfect, thanks so much. I just measured mine using the same method (iPhone app) and got 3" as well. This confirms that I'll have to cut from the left side, I'll grab the part from my parent's house this evening and post pics once it's done. For now, here's a couple pics of my 335is that just got a full wash yesterday

Is that a real m3 roof? You should get some 1x1 cf mirror caps too match

I was wondering too how are you going to shave all that metal off w/o making a mess in there lol

Yup, real M3 roof and CF mirror caps are coming up after remounting the front bumper to fix the gap between the hood and bumper (plus it's just kinda loose overall). Do you know of the best company for em (mirrors are OEM M3)? All the carbon except the roof (front and rear spoilers) is 2x2--not sure where to get 1x1 that matches the roof. And not sure if I should just match the mirrors to the spoilers since 1x1 is generally hard to find and I'd like to do CF side skirt extensions at some point, which RW Carbon has in 1x1 but their mirror caps say both 1x1 and 2x2 in the description so I'll have to call them and confirm

I do! I reached out to the m3 guys last month and they told me about Karbonius and a site called Euro-connects.co (it's ******, not connects but e90post ain't a fan). They are in Europe somewhere and have 100% prepeg carbon fiber replacements in both 1x1 and 2x2. I'm planning on ordering my 1x1 from Euroconne*.co (replace * with an x). Kinda a weird sign up to access the site, but it's cool. Or you can order from Karbonius themselves on their Euro site I guess but I can't get the 1x1 option to show up on their website.

Got some pics from others of the Karbonius here:

Karbonius looks really good. Potentially better than the EC based on pics in the thread and on the EC website. Do you know the pricing+lead time on EC so I don't have to make a damn account to find out?

EuroC sells the exact same Karbonius caps, no difference. I think someone mentioned it was like 6 weeks lead time, but I imagine that would be the same from either vendor, not sure I haven't ordered mine yet.

How do you guys like your DCT 335is? My 335is manual just got totaled and I'm def getting another 335is but wanted to try DCT out this time. Feel like I can still experience some kind of mechanical feeling while not having the "chore" of clutching in traffic situations.

My only worries was reliability and how much power it holds? I'd like to eventually 600whp single turbo when I'll have other cars. But from my research those look OK.

Aslo, does the DCT burple on upshifts?

I do love the DCT but, my car is starting to push pretty high power just north of 600 I think and I am xHP stage3 and it is holding but it would be easier and much cheaper for me to upgrade a manual clutch. That being said if yours is a Daily driver it is super fun and yes it burbles on shifts.

Sorry to hear about your car. Did you buy it back for part out?
