2008 cic idrive -- sat nav greyed out

Hi all

As the title says. I just bought the car and the dealership who sold it said it just needs an update of the maps. Is this correct? I thought nav still may work with old maps.

Anyhow. ..I went into the hidden menu and found the attached. Could it be my gps antenna is knackered?

it needs fsc code to activate navigation. you can do it with cic patcher or emulator.

It sounds like the original CIC unit broke and they slapped in a used unit without properly coding it.

You will need to pay someone to either remotely patch and flash new FSC codes or you can play Russian roulette with emulators.

if the dealer is official bmw dealer they can retrieve your original navigation FSC from bmw intranet and upload it to CIC and navi will be activated
